Metal Finishing Company receives Gold Boeing Performance Excellence Award
(Wichita Kansas March 1st 2010) – Metal Finishing Company today announced that it has received a 2009 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Metal Finishing Company maintained a Gold composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2008 to Sept. 30, 2009.
This year, Boeing recognized 486 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. Metal Finishing Company is one of only 128 suppliers to receive the Gold level of recognition.
Metal Finishing Company supplies finishing and plating as well as NDT services to Boeing for the majority of Boeing aerospace programs.
Metal Finishing has approvals from the majority of major aircraft companies nationwide as well as many international approvals. We currently hold more Boeing process approvals than any other facility worldwide. In addition, Metal Finishing is one of the first processing facilities in the mid-west to receive NADCAP approvals on chemical processing, shot peen, non-destructive testing and quality systems. After 65 years of operation we have grown to over 500,000 sq. feet of processing area, which includes three processing facilities and 280 employees.
